Whispering Winds is a brand-new luxury home on the banks of Lake Norman, designed for the kind of family vacation that turns into a tradition. Sprawling grounds, lush landscape, and full lake views — the urban world fades fast here. A long private drive lined with split-rail fences and palm trees leads you up to the house.

Inside: natural wood floors, vaulted ceilings, a stained-glass chandelier, and a great room that opens onto the lake through floor-to-ceiling windows. Natural light fills the space. It’s a home built for big groups — for board game nights, theater marathons, after-dinner drinks, and a dining table that actually fits everyone.

Inside Whispering Winds

The home spreads across three levels with room for 15 guests to find their own corners. The open kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops and a full appliance package — built to handle everything from a weeknight pasta to a holiday feast. The dining table seats up to 15.

Entertainment is built in. The in-home movie theater has a movie library, state-of-the-art sound, and proper theater seating. The two-car garage has been converted into a game room with a pool table, gaming system, and ping pong table. There’s a separate downstairs living room — great for the kids and the kids-at-heart — and a quiet loft on the top floor for reading or working.

Outside – The Lake Life

The 16 x 32 private pool — open May 1 through November 1, with a slide for the kids and pool heating available for an additional fee on cooler days. The hot tub stays year-round. Around the pool, you’ll find multiple gazebos, plenty of seating, and an outdoor kitchen with a built-in BBQ and bar.

A large screened-in porch off the dining room looks out over the pool and lake. A bonfire pit sits along the paved path down to the water, perfect for s’mores and recapping the day. And at the water’s edge: your private deep-water dock, dredged to maintain deep water access, large enough for multiple boats and jet skis. Lake Norman has no horsepower restrictions, so it’s a perfect lake for water skis, wakeboards, and serious watersports. Plus: complimentary paddle boat usage is included with your stay.
