Explore Galveston's West End
The beach is direct — across a grassy berm, no roads to cross. A generous covered balcony runs off the main level for morning coffee and sunset, with a second smaller balcony off the primary bedroom. Underneath the house there’s abundant shaded ground-level space for entertaining, plus an outdoor shower and covered parking.
The City of Jamaica Beach adds a park with a playground, basketball court and covered pavilion, a seasonal municipal pool and splash pad (paid admission, open to non-residents), and the Regatta Basin boat ramp with canal access to West Galveston Bay. These are city amenities rather than part of the stay. Galveston’s Seawall and downtown are roughly 12 to 15 miles east, with Galveston Island State Park, Moody Gardens, and the Pleasure Pier all an easy drive.
