Rio Rodanthe is the only home on Cape Hatteras Island with its own private lazy river. Built for big families and groups who want something genuinely different, this oceanfront house sleeps 20 across three levels and adds a 140-foot lazy river (with a working replica of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse at its center), a private pool, kiddie pool with sprayers, hot tub, sand volleyball court, fire pit, and direct beach access.

Inside Rio Rodanthe

The upper-level great room pairs vaulted ceilings and panoramic ocean views with space to gather around the gas fireplace. The dining table seats 16 with another 4 seats at the breakfast bar, while the ground-level game room adds a pool table and wet bar. An indoor elevator serves all levels, and one king master bedroom includes an accessible roll-in shower.

Your Private Waterpark

The outdoor space centers around a 140-foot private lazy river, 12-by-24-foot pool, wading pool with sprayers, and 6-person hot tub. Three levels of oceanfront decking, a fire pit, sand volleyball area, outdoor play area, and private walkway to the beach give your group plenty of ways to spend the day outside. The pool and lazy river operate from mid-April through the end of October, with heating available for an additional fee.
